Greenhorn

Jim had been born with a weak stomach but a stout heart. The sight of blood nauseated him. He was no good at fighting, but he could ride anything on four legs and loved life on the ranch. His fellow cowpunchers couldn’t quite get the measure of this new recruit to the Diamond A outfit, which was the biggest ranch in Black Glass Valley. Life there was tough and was going to get tougher, but the so-called greenhorn proved himself equal to all occasions.
